Theatrical productions are the heart of any theater company. Shows and events that EnActe produces are groundbreaking, thought provoking, universally appealing theatre, storytelling and conversations of the highest quality. Each year EnActe develops and produce two major productions per year as well as an ongoing series of Beyond the Box events.

Sitayana
The Sitayana is an artful transposition of the Hindu epic The Ramayana told from Sita’s point of view. Part epic tale, part coming of age story, The Sitayana is the ultimate breakup play. Audiences attending the livestreamed viewings September 25 – October 17, 2021 will be given the choice of one of three unique incarnations of Sita from whom they will hear her story (Amar Chitra Sita, Sita’s Mehndi Party, and Sita’s Slumber Party) which questions traditional gender roles, subverts idealized views of femininity, and ultimately centers Sita as a hero within her own epic journey. Each of the versions will be available for video-on-demand viewing beginning September 20th, 2021 through Sunday, October 17.

EnActe Beyond the Box
Beyond the Box is EnActe’s homage to the Eastern tradition of theatre where the people are. It is theatre outside the physical confines of the amphitheater as well outside the traditional boundaries of form.
The EnActe Conservatory showcase is the culmination of a yearlong program. a professional quality production; written, designed and produced by students of EnActe School of Drama’s Conservatory program.
In 2020 the pilot cohort of the Conservatory adapted and produced Ajay Chowdhury’s The Case of the Vanishing Firefish and presented a wildly successful multisensory show that that wowed audiences at the Cubberley Theater in Palo Alto!

A family of four scattered across the world comes together online for a special birthday dinner. Over four plates of Dum Biryani they realize just how much the realities of COVID are affecting their lives.
Cross Connections
Cross connection is a story of two people Sumit & Vrajlal, who accidentally get connected with each other through video call due to a wrong number. Where Sumit is a thief who is planning to rob a bank & Vrajlal is a labour who is in need of money because he wants to go to his village due to lockdown. This story unfolds how the cross connection between these two people helps Vrajlal earn some money.
